The largest city in the Herzegovina region is also one of the most important. In addition to its rich history, the city is home to one of the most exemplary fixtures of Islamic architecture in the Balkans. The piece in question is a bridge–often called “Old Bridge”–and it was built by the Ottomans way back in the 16th century.
